Conventional civil defense relies on static concrete seawalls—approaches that are physically impossible in extreme bathymetric depths and culturally fatal to Inuit communities whose entire subsistence depends on direct shoreline access.

- By synthesizing multi-scalar spatial mapping of Inuit fishers' seasonal rhythms with vernacular material practices, this research develops an adaptive, community-stewarded landscape framework that dynamically balances daily subsistence with extreme tsunami resilience in Arctic fjords.
